How to Get an Idaho Plumbing License

  1. Meet the requirements for eligibility*
    1. Journeyman
      1. Complete an approved 4-year education course
      2. Possess 4 years work experience (8,000 hours) supervised by a licensed Journeyman
    2. Plumbing Contractor
      1. Possess an active Journeyman license
      2. Minimum of 2.5 years' experience as a licensed journeyman
      3. Proof of compliance bond
  2. Submit an application for examination
  3. Study for and pass your exam
  4. Submit an application for licensure along with required fees
