How to Get a Maine Plumber License
- Meet the minimum experience requirements:
- Journeyman:
- Minimum of 4,000 hours of work as licensed trainee OR
- Minimum of 2,000 hours work as a licensed journeyman-in-training
- Master:
- Minimum of 2,000 hours of work as a licensed journeyman OR
- Minimum of 8,000 hours work as a licensed trainee
- Journeyman:
- Complete and submit an application for examination
- Take and pass your exam
- Complete and submit an application for licensure along with applicable fees
