Description
The intent of this course is to familiarize plumbers in Georgia with rules and laws that affect their business and the plumbing industry in general. The following topics are covered in this course:
- Chapter 14 of the Official Code of Georgia
- A segment of the course explores provisions of Chapter 14 of the Official Code of Georgia that apply to plumbers.
- Georgia state amendments to the International Plumbing Code
- A segment of this course looks at many of the specific amendments the state of Georgia made to the International Plumbing Code in order to make the IPC more applicable to the state plumbing industry.
- Underground utilities
- A segment of the course talks about both Georgia 811, the color code system used for marking the location of underground utilities, and important provisions of the Georgia Underground Facility Protection Act.
- Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act
- The final segment of the course covers provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act that plumbers need to be aware of.
The course concludes with a 30-question final practice exam meant to prepare students for the actual state licensing exam.
